Connie D. (Stewart) Gilpatrick

Connie D. (Stewart) Gilpatrick, 72 of Hemple, MO formerly of St. Joseph, MO passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter Roxanne Liechti near Wathena, KS on Monday, December 22, 2014 with family and the care of Kendalwood Hospice.

She was born on December 19, 1942 to Raymond and Winifred (Russell) Stewart in Agency, MO and she attended school and grew up in the Faucett/Agency area.  Connie lived in St. Joseph and later moved to Hemple where she made her home.

In younger years Connie worked as a logger with her father and later at West Tabs (Mead Products).  Connie also worked in nursing and was a business owner in St. Joseph but most of all she was a homemaker always caring for her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Jack Carpenter, Ed Wilson, and Andy Gilpatrick; sons Roger Wilson and Randy Carpenter; brother William Stewart; and sister Sharon Lee Stewart.

Connie is survived by two sons Russell Carpenter and Rodney (Cheryl) Carpenter; two daughters Roxanne (Bud) Liechti and Robin Wilson; fourteen grandchildren; twenty eight great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; brothers Dennis (Kathy) Stewart and Terry Stewart; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Saturday December 27^th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower
