Connie Callahan
Connie Callahan, 76, of Pleasant Valley, MO passed away, Saturday, December 16, 2017.
She was born on June 21, 1941 to Bernard and Mae Annette (Hammers) Matthews in Columbus, KS. Connie grew up in the Kansas City area and in 1959 graduated from Smithville High School.
On November 29, 1979 she was united in marriage to Roger Lee Callahan. After their marriage they lived Smithville, Lawson, Liberty, and in 1998 they moved to Pleasant Valley where they made their home.
She retired from Money Matters Tax Service in Smithville.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, brother, David Matthews, son, Michael L. Godfrey.
She is survived by her husband, Roger, of the home; children, Johnny Godfrey and wife Shari, Kelly Peterson and husband, Jeff, John Ramirez, and David Schrage; seven grandchildren, Summer, Sharon, Seth, Sean, Amanda, John, Daphne; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Dan Matthews and wife, Marilyn and Dennis Matthews, sister, Vicki Walsh and husband Tim; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 20th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville, MO with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Burial: Smith Cemetery, Smithville, MO.
