CLAUDIE SPENCER WILSON
Claudie Spencer Wilson, 89, of rural Edgerton, Mo., went to be with the Lord, Sunday, April 2, 2006 at his home.
He was born on July 11, 1916, to Spencer and Susan Julia (Wright) Wilson near Ridgely, Mo., where he grew up and in 1935 graduated from Edgerton High School.
On November 23, 1935 he was united in marriage to Frances Rogers. After their marriage they lived in the Ridgely Community south of Edgerton, Mo. where they made their home. His wife, Frances, passed away on February 6, 2000.
Claudie farmed in the Ridgely Community all of his life. He was a member and Deacon of the Little Platte Baptist Church. Claudie was one of the original members of the Platte County Water District Board where he served for many years. He was also a longtime member of the Platte County Zoning Board, the A.S.C. Board in Platte County, and the Ridgely Cemetery Board.
Claudie was also preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Lorene Wilson and Mattie May Blankenship.
He is survived by one sister; Rebecca R. Robb and husband, James, Kansas City, Mo., several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, at Little Platte Baptist Church, 5955 Little Platte Road, south of Edgerton, Mo.
Burial: Ridgely Cemetery.
Visitation: 6:00-8:30 P.M., Tuesday at the church.
Donations may be made to the church.
