Clarence Junior Hunt

 

Clarence Junior Hunt, 85, of Dearborn, MO passed away, Sunday, July 10, 2011 at his home.

He was born on October 4, 1925 to Clarence Jacob and Hazel Eileen (Randall) Hunt in Mound City, MO, and grew up in the Parkville area.

On October 4, 1948 he was united in marriage to Jessie Deloma Mantlo. After their marriage they lived in Platte County where they made their home. His wife, Jessie, passed away February 22, 1988.

Clarence worked for General Motors in Fairfax, Kansas for over 30 years, and was also a tobacco farmer. He was a member of the Christian faith. Clarence loved to sing country western music, he enjoyed farmlife, and visiting with friends.

Clarence was also preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Chuck Mummert; sisters, Frances Springs and Mildred Johnson.

He is survived by his daughter, Anita Mummert and husband Charles, Amity, MO; grandchildren, Steven Mummert and wife Natalie, Edgerton, MO and Deloma Hensley and husband Kenny, Edgerton, MO; five great-grandsons, Jesse and Jacob Hensley and Christopher, Tommy, and Matthew Mummert; two brothers, Okal Hunt and wife Clara, Maysville, MO and Marlin Hunt and wife Peggy, Peculiar, MO; and two sisters, Mary McClelland, Council Bluffs, IA and Virginia Mulkey, Kearney, MO; his dogs, Sugar and Ginger; several nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends.

 

Graveside Service: 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 14th at Platte City Cemetery.

Visitation: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower.
