Clara M. (Zook) Starbuck
Clara Maxine Starbuck, 94, of Calera, OK, formerly of Trimble, MO passed away, Friday, June 6, 2014.
She was born on September 17, 1919 to Jacob I. and Hannah (Kagarice) Zook in Waynoka, OK, where she grew up and attended school.
On November 24, 1936 she was united in marriage to Roy A. Starbuck. They lived on a farm near Waynoka, OK where they raised their family. Clara worked as a cook for several years in the school lunch then for a restaurant in Waynoka. After which she owned and operated a rooming house for railroad workers. In 1980 they moved to Trimble where they made their home. Her husband, Roy, preceded her in death in 1989. In 2002 Clara moved to Calera, OK.
She was a member of the Calera Baptist Church.
She was also preceded in death by her daughters, Donna Anderson and Phyllis Littleton, grandson, Shawn Rogers, and her nine brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children, Carolyn Rogers, Trimble, MO and Dennis Starbuck and wife Judy, Durant, OK; ten grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and twenty great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside Service: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 14th at (Mt. Moriah) Terrace Park Cemetery, Kansas City, MO.
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville.
