Christopher Scott Tipton

Christopher Scott Tipton, 55, of Smithville, MO passed away December 6, 2016.

He was born on March 5, 1961 to David Paul and Patricia Jean (Kirby) Tipton in Kansas City, MO.  Chris grew up in Kansas City and attended Smithville High School.

On August 6, 1992 he was united in marriage to Melissa Ann Atchison.  After their marriage they lived in Smithville where they made their home.

Chris worked for Clower’s Car Care in Smithville. 

He was preceded in death by his mother Patricia Tipton and his daughter Krystle Marie Tipton.

Chris is survived by his wife Melissa Tipton; son Chris Tipton; daughter Amanda (Cody Lewis) Tipton and Anna Tipton; grandson Cayden Lewis; father David Tipton; brother David (Sue) Tipton; sisters Jackie Ludwig and Janet (Carson) Sims; mother-in-law Lea Ann Moore; grandmother-in-law Lois Schonewetter; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Molly (Truman Terry) Atchison, Kayla Wirsig and Trevor Chesnut; son by heart Jake Caster; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. 

Memorial Service:  6:00 p.m. Monday, December 12th with visitation following until 8:00 p.m. all at First Christian Church Smithville
