Chris Houston

Chris Houston, 46, of Smithville, MO passed away, Saturday, August 16, 2014.

 

He was born on August 21, 1967 to Billy G. and Sandra N. (Spears) Houston in Lincoln, KS where he grew up and attended school.  He then served his country in the U.S. Army.

 

On October 30, 1991 Chris was united in marriage to Kerri Shackelford.  After their marriage they lived in Smithville where they made their home.  His wife, Kerri, passed away, September 11, 2008. 

 

Chris was preceded in death by his sister Deborah Robbins and his uncle John  Houston.

 

He was a Master Mechanic and an avid rifle and pistol shooter.  Chris was a wonderful dad and enjoyed spending time with his children.

 

Chris is survived by his children, Mollie Houston, Wyatt Houston, and Katrina Henley, his father, Bill Houston and wife Lana, Lincoln, KS;  two sisters, Trasa Morgan, Salisbury, NC and Elizabeth Plant, Lincoln, RI; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

 

Memorial Service: 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 22nd at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville.

Inurnment:  Ridgely Cemetery
