CHARLES R. MUSSER

Charles R. Musser, 81, of Gower, Mo., passed away, Monday, March 21, 2005 at the Gower Convalescent Center.

He was born on November 10, 1923 to Rollie Lee and Clara Belle ?Callie? (Carter) Musser near Starfield, Mo., where he grew up. He later attended Plattsburg High School. He then served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. After his honorable discharge he returned to the Starfield Community.

On October 5, 1947 he was united in marriage to Jean Snyder. After their marriage they lived near Plattsburg where they made their home. Jean passed away, April 7, 1988.

Chuck worked as a mechanic for TWA for over 30 years.

He was a member of the American Legion Post #97 in Plattsburg.

Chuck was also preceded in death by his daughter, Nancy Jean, his parents, four brothers, William C., Clay, Leonard Kay, and Darrell, two sisters, Nettie Bottoroff, and Jean Musser.

He is survived by one son, Bo Claxton and wife, Jill, Kansas City, Mo., two brothers, Rollie A. Musser, Gower, Mo., and Allen Musser, Plattsburg, Mo., three sisters, Anna Mae Summerfield, Portland, Oregon, Doris Brinton, and Joan Gilleland, both of St. Joseph, Mo., several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Memorial Service: 2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 24th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower, Mo., with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Private family inurnment will be held at Mt. Zion Cemetery at a later date.

Donations may be made to the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
