Charles R. “Charlie” Riddle
Charles R. “Charlie” Riddle, 88, of Faucett, MO passed away, formerly of Platte County, MO, Tuesday, August 22, 2017.
He was born on November 4, 1928 to John William and Artie May (Sexton) Riddle in Platte City, MO.
In 1948, he was united in marriage to Mary Jeane Meek. Together they had seven children. Mary passed away, August 15, 2011.
Charlie was a hard worker and an avid outdoorsman, loving fishing, hunting, gardening, and baseball. He would grow his garden large enough to share with his family, who he cherished with a nickname for every one of them.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, John and George Riddle.
Charlie is survived by his children Frank Riddle and wife, Connie, Farley, MO, Bonnie Sissom and husband, Dan, Birmingham, MO, Brenda Lewis and husband, Ed, Dearborn, MO, Vicki Burge and husband Chris, Lake of the Ozarks, MO, Rick Riddle and wife, Theresa, Lake of the Ozarks, MO, Mike Riddle and wife, Terri, Faucett, MO, and Doug Riddle and wife, Trudi, Faucett, MO; eighteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, with another great-grandson on the way; brother James L. Riddle, Linn Creek, MO; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 26th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville.
Burial: Platte City Cemetery
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
