Charles Michael King

Charles Michael King, 57, of Platte County, MO passed away Monday, January 25, 2010 at his home.

He was born on March 24, 1952 to George Matthew and Charlotte Marie (Harmer) King in Kansas City, MO. Charles grew up near Edgerton. In 1970 he graduated from North Platte High School where he played football and basketball.

Charles worked for Toyota Motor Company in Kansas City, MO where he retired in November 2007 after 29 years.

He enjoyed being outside, raising his dogs, cooking, skiing and having a good time with family and friends.

Charles was preceded in death by his father and his sister, Cindy King.

He is survived by his son, Matt King and wife, Kristi, Smithville, MO; grandson, Landon; mother, Charlotte King, Edgerton, MO; brothers and sisters, Mike Williamson, Osceola, MO, Valerie Kyle and husband, Bob, Dearborn, MO, Kim Peters and husband, Gene, Platte City, MO, Melanie Robinson and husband, Don, Atlanta, GA, Jim King and wife, Cherry, Smithville, MO, Stephanie Cunningham and husband, Skip, Edgerton, MO, and Will King and wife, Michelle, Overland Park, KS; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 28^th at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Edgerton

Burial: Ridgely Cemetery

Visitation: 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church
