Charles Kidwell

Charles Wilbur Kidwell, 86, of Edgerton, MO passed away, September 8, 2023.

He was born on September 14, 1936 to Robert Wilbur and Olive Marie (Creekmore) Kidwell in Martinsville, MO. Charles grew up in Martinsville, MO and graduated from Bethany High School. He then proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves and the U.S. Air Force.

On December 23, 1961 he was united in marriage to Joyce Johnson. After their marriage they lived in Weston, MO and moved to Edgerton in 2013.

Charles was a truck driver for Pepsi and retired from Food Barn in 1993. He loved fishing, gardening, camping and traveling.

He was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings.

Charles is survived by his wife, Joyce; children, Sondra (Walt) Stubbs, Steve (Vikki) Kidwell, Jeff Kidwell, Kenny (Jackie) Kidwell, and Brad (Nicole) Kidwell; nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; brother, Don (Barbara) Kidwell; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Per his request, private family services will be held.

    Uncle Chuck will forever be in my heart. He helped me grow into a strong young man when my grandpa passed. Everytime we got to visit was a wonderful experience. Rest in forever peace uncle chuck, you will be missed.
