Charles H. “Boone” Holder
Charles H. “Boone” Holder, 72, of rural Agency, MO, passed away, Wednesday, July 18, 2007.
He was born on January 29, 1935 to Lawrence Eugene and Alma Glorina (Hiland) Holder near Frazier, MO, where he grew up. Boone graduated from Gower High School in 1952. He then served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves. After his honorable discharge he returned to the Frazier area.
On July 20, 1958 he was united in marriage to Gail Lorraine Thomas. After their marriage they lived in Edgerton and in 1969 they moved to rural Agency where they made their home. His wife, Gail, passed away, March 3, 1999.
Boone worked for Purina Mills in Kansas City and St. Joseph, retiring in 2002.
He was a member of the Frazier Baptist Church and was an original member of the Gower Beaver Club.
Boone was also preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Jim Holder, and brother-in-law, Roger Adkins.
He is survived by two sons, Kenneth Holder, St. Joseph, MO, and Tom Holder and wife, Susan, Starkville, MS, two grandchildren, Ethan and Jenna; one sister, Wilma Adkins, Gower, MO; one brother, John Holder and wife, Judy, Gower, MO; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 21st at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower.
Burial: Frazier Cemetery.
Visitation: 6:30-8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Donations may be made to Frazier Baptist Church.
