Charles David DeMoss
Charles David DeMoss, 65 of Plattsburg, MO passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2007.
He was born on February 5, 1942 to Charley Milton and Alice Lea (Weber) DeMoss. David grew up in Plattsburg and in 1960 he graduated from Plattsburg High School.
On June 9, 1967 he was united in marriage to Pat McCarthy. After their marriage they lived in Plattsburg, where they made their home and raised three daughters, later to be reunited with his son.
In earlier years, David had a love for the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, who shared this joy with his girls, as well as his nephews and grandchildren. After losing his eyesight as a complication to heart surgery, his attention turned to gardening, family cookouts and the Chiefs! Never knowing a stranger, he could always strike up a conversation with anyone he met.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charley; brother, Thomas DeMoss and sister Mary Ruth Wade.
David is survived by his wife, Pat of the home; three daughters, Phyllis Kage and husband, Mark, Holt, MO, Karen Jackson and husband, Laine, Liberty, MO and Sharon DeMoss and Kevin Ford, Lathrop, MO; one son, Brian King and wife, Kim, St. Joseph, MO; eleven grandchildren, Allison, Travis, Lee, Tyler, Taylor, Megan, Jacob, Cooper, Austin, Aaron and Trinity; his mother, Alice DeMoss, Plattsburg, MO, several nieces and nephews including Tracie Underwood, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 27th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower
Burial: Grayson Cemetery
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
