Chad Klein
Chad Klein, 45, of Gower, MO passed away, December 1, 2016.
He was born on November 11, 1971 to Jack and Shari Lynn (Rasmussen) Klein in Yankton, SD. In 1977, the family moved from Clark, SD to Gower, MO. He grew up in Gower and graduated Valedictorian from East Buchanan High School in 1990. He was a four year starter in football and baseball where he received All Conference Honors. Chad received his Aviation Degree from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, MO where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. During his college years, he flew for a skydiving club in Independence, MO and was a flight instructor at Cameron Regional Airport. Chad continued his education and received a Mathematics and Physics Degree, and his teaching certificate.
Chad was an airline pilot for TWA and American Airlines. During his furlough from the airlines, Chad became a licensed funeral director and worked for the family funeral home. He also taught high school math at Staley High School and was a Civilian Analyst for the U.S. Army in Leavenworth, KS.
Chad was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Easton.
Chad enjoyed flying, riding his Harley and camping. He loved to share his passion of astronomy with his family. Chad listened to music and played his guitar and piano. He played golf, pool, cards and liked bowling.
Chad was preceded in death by his grandparents Al and Millie Klein, Bob and Bev Rasmussen and uncle Lee Hartmann.
He is survived by his parents, Jack and Shari Klein; sister, Christa Musser and husband Danny; brothers, Casey Klein and wife Sarah, and Corey Klein and wife Mandy; nieces and nephews, Sara, Anna, Emma, Jena, Nick, Trevor, Chase and Kellan; aunts and uncles, Margaret Hartmann, Pat Klein, Sandy and Greg Mattson, Sue and Bruce Reimers, Steve, Scott and Stewart Rasmussen; several cousins, and many friends.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 5th at the Gower Christian Church AFC Building.
Burial: Allen Cemetery
Visitation: 4:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Gower Christian Church AFC Building.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chad Klein Memorial Fund for Education c/o Bank of Gower.

Dear Friends and Family of Chad Klein, I had the opportunity to teach with Chad at Staley High School. The time that I spent with him was short but he did make quite an impression upon me. He was a kind man and had a huge heart. He had tremendous concern for those that he was around, both students and other teachers. He reminds me of the man that James wrote about about in James 3:13, "Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes through wisdom." While getting to know Chad as a teacher at Staley, I found him to be a man living a good life by faithfully serving students and parents. He was a joy to be around and our school is a better place because he was with us. I'd like to send my condolences to his family and close friends who are grieving his loss at this time.
