Carolyn Sue Gabriel

Carolyn Sue Gabriel, 64, of Platte City, MO, passed away, Thursday, March 25, 2010 at her home.

She was born August 28, 1945 to Thomas Edward and Mary Margaret (Pearson) Jones in Jameson, Missouri. Carolyn attended Albany High School and graduated from Savannah High School.

On August 21, 1963 she was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Kenneth David Gabriel. After their marriage they lived in St. Joseph, and in 1980 they moved to rural Platte City. Her husband, Kenneth, passed away in 2004. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Carolyn is survived by her sons, Thomas David Gabriel, Platte City, MO, Matthew David Gabriel, Kansas City, MO, Richard David Hoyt, Phoenix, AZ; daughter, Teresa Carol Lees, Topeka, KS; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Arthur “Butch” Jones, Savannah, MO.

Friends and family are invited to come celebrate Carolyn’s life with her children at her home on Sunday, April 11^th from 12:00-3:00p.m. Light lunch and beverages will be served.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to NorthCare Hospice.
