Carolyn Masoner

Carolyn Sue Masoner,80, of Edgerton, MO passed away June 30, 2023.

She was born on January 10, 1943, to Ernest O. and Sarah L. (Hoover) Lane in Lexington, MO. Carolyn went to Central High School and graduated from Manuel High both in Kansas City, MO. 

On March 22, 1963, she was united in marriage to Charles “Chuggie” Masoner. After their marriage they lived in Edgerton where they made their home. Chuggie passed away on December 7, 2013.

Carolyn worked at Spelman Memorial Hospital in Smithville and St. Luke’s Northland Hospital for 40 years. She enjoyed gardening and canning the vegetables she grew. Carolyn loved her cats and dogs. 

Carolyn was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church and loved sharing her faith with others. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Chuggie Masoner; her son Michael Masoner; her sister Mary VonDerBruegge and her brothers Milton Lane and Pat Lane. 

Carolyn is survived by her son Steven Masoner and wife Melissa; grandchildren Branden Masoner and wife Candice and Erika and fiancé Ethan Redding; three great-grandchildren, Alexxus, Truitt and Maggie; sister-in-law Bettie Masoner, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Visitation from 12:00-1:00 p.m. with Funeral Services at 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 3rd at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Edgerton, MO.
