Carolyn Hogan

Carolyn Hogan, 89, of Kansas City, MO passed away, March 1, 2025.

She was born on July 25, 1935 to George Fredrick Christian and Elsie Melinda (Wenzel) Heil in Norborne, MO. Carolyn grew up in Norborne and graduated from Norborne High School. She then graduated from the University of Missouri.

On August 10, 1957 she was united in marriage to James Richard Hogan. After their marriage they lived in Kansas City where they made their home. Her husband, Jim, preceded her in death on August 9, 2016.

Carolyn was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Kansas City.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers, David Heil and Daniel Heil; and her sons, Mark Hogan and Chris Hogan.

Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Gretchen (Tom) Hanson and Elizabeth (Wayne) Johnson; and her grandchildren, Emma Johnson and Hayden Johnson.

Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 6th at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Norborne, MO.
