CAROLYN COPE

Carolyn (Lance) Martin Purvis Cope, 66, of Platte City, MO, passed away, Thursday, January 26, 2006 at North Kansas City Hospital.

She was born on October 11, 1939 in Harlem, MO to James Thomas and Pauline Catherine (Tatham) Lance. She lived in Harlem, Tracy, and in 1973 moved to Platte City where she made her home.

Carolyn worked at the Red Owl in Platte City for many years and later Lamar Donuts in Platte City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, James Lance and her husbands, James W. Martin, Sr. and Norman Cope.

Carolyn is survived by her son, James W. Martin, Jr. and wife, Joyce, grandchildren, Kathryn Ware and Karry Gerber, all of Radcliff, Kentucky, two sisters, Virginia Jacks and husband, Clarence, Platte City, MO, and Cheryl Schimmel and husband, Ronald, Weston, MO, sister-in-law, Linda Lance, Tracy, MO, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
