CAROL WARREN

Carol Jean Warren, 69, of Kansas City, MO, passed away, Monday, September 11, 2006 at her home.

She was born on October 23, 1936 to Claud Alfred “Cherry” and Jessie “Hazel” (Myers) Gustin in St. Joseph, MO. Carol grew up in Edgerton and graduated from North Platte High School. She then attended Kansas City Business College.

On February 15, 1957 she was united in marriage to Richard Warren. After their marriage they lived in Smithville. In 1991 they moved to Lake of the Ozarks, and later moved to Kansas City North.

Carol worked for Pence Appliance in Smithville for 24 years as a bookkeeper.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Smithville, and a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Joyce Lee Gustin.

She is survived by her husband, Richard, of the home; three daughters, Cathy McDonald, and husband, Larry, Gladstone, MO, Teresa Scott and husband, Gary, and Donna Corless and husband, Dan, all of Kansas City North; grandchildren, John and Mary Schulz, Amber and Jeff Toates, Aubrey McDonald, Jason and Heather Scott, Sherri Scott, Jeffrey Scott, and Danielle Corless; great grandchildren, Katelin, Alexis, Alaynna, Richard, Ashton, and Riley, other relatives and many friends in the area and many winter Texan friends.

Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville, MO.
Burial: I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Smithville.
Visitation: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Smithville or Odyssey Hospice.
