Carol Jane (Cooper) Brown

Carol Jane Brown, 64, of Liberty, MO; loving wife, mother, grandma and friend to all, went to meet her maker very unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 27, 2011.

 On January 18, 1969, she was united in marriage to Billie J. Brown. After their marriage, they made their loving home in Roosterville.  Carol worked 26 years with the Liberty School District. The last 19 years she was an Assistant to the Curriculum Director. In this position, she dealt with all the school districts in the area. She is well-known, respected, and loved by all the people she encountered. Carol leaves behind a loving and caring extended family that she created and more friends than you can count. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kristi Brown; her parents, Leonard and Ethel Cooper; sisters, Stella Goodman, Francis Fields and Delores Thomas; brother Lloyd Cooper; father-in-law Charles McMillian Sr.

Carol is survived by her husband, Bill, of the home; son, Billie Brown, daughters Carrie Brown and Kimberly Champlain and her husband Ben; and the loves of her life, grandsons, Mike and Chance Thompson and Paden and Wyatt Champlain; brother Bobby Cooper; sister-in-law Marilyn Cooper; mother-in-law Darlene McMillian; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She will be remembered in love always and forever. 

 Funeral Service: 8:30 a.m. Saturday, April 30th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville, MO.

Burial: White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Gladstone, MO.

Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
