Carl Everett “Butch” Rick
Carl Everett ?Butch? Rick, 58, of Smithville, MO passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at his home.
He was born on May 29, 1949 to Carl Thomas Rick and Betty Jean Fox in Kansas City, MO.
On September 18, 1982 he was united in marriage to Lee Ann Edwards. After their marriage they lived in Smithville where they made their home.
Butch worked for Lee Tire and Rubber Company for 16 years. After they closed, he worked for Appleton Paper Company in Edwardsville, KS until 2007. Butch loved to camp and do projects around the house.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl T. Rick
Butch is survived by his wife, Lee Ann of the home; son, Carl S. Rick, Wellington, MO; two grandsons, Trevor and Travis Rick; mother, Betty Jean Thrasher and husband, Olan, Trimble, MO; three brothers, Tom Rick and wife, Renee, Gladstone, MO, Phillip Rick and wife, Lisa, Cameron, MO, and Marty and wife, Sharon, Plattsburg, MO; three sisters, Judy Villanueva, Horse Shoe, NC, Rita Cressley and husband, Ed, Amity, MO, and Phyllis Britz and husband, Bruce, Maysville, MO; father and mother-in-law, Bob and Phyllis Edwards; brothers-in-law, Phil Edwards and wife, Nicki and Terry Edwards and wife, Shirley, all of Smithville, numerous nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 13th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville
Burial: I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Smithville
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home
