Calvin Coolidge Bennett
Calvin Coolidge Bennett, 89, of Dearborn, MO, formerly of Camden Point, MO passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014.
He was born on November 4, 1924 to Frank Lee and Alice (Schneiter) Bennett near Jamesport, MO where he grew up and attended school. Calvin then served his country in the US Navy during WWII as a Seaman Fist Class.
On January 20, 1945 he was united in marriage to Grace Nadine Shaw. After their marriage they lived in Florida, South Missouri and later made their home in Camden Point, MO.
Calvin worked as a journeyman roofer in Kansas City, MO for many years. He enjoyed horses, hunting, fishing, being outdoors and was extremely passionate about all his hobbies. Calvin was very adamant about being self-sufficient in his daily living. He was a member of the Roofers Local Union 20 and the VFW.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Granvil Lee Bennett.
Calvin is survived by his wife, Nadine; children, Forrest Lee Bennett and wife Adele, Jerry Dean Bennett and wife Sylvia, John Martin Bennett and wife Tracy, Carla Jean Milazzo and husband Steve; grandchildren Aaron, Michael, Deana, Thomas, Christopher, Samantha, Cheyenne, Grace, Jennifer, and Damien; 13 great-grandchildren; sister Mary Louise Nance; several nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services: 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 26th with visitation 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service all at Camden Point Baptist Church
Burial: Camden Point Cemetery
