BUFORD E. PEMBERTON

Buford E. Pemberton, 94, of Des Moines, IA, formerly of the Smithville, MO area, passed away October 28, 2006.

Buford married Beula Pack in Gallatin, Mo. on September 16, 1933 and just recently celebrated their 73rd anniversary. He was a member of Indianola Heights Christian Church, Fleet Reservist and the Disabled American Vets. He was a retired United States Navy Veteran serving from 1946 to 1966, and served in World War II. Buford was a farmer, radioman, teleman with the U.S. Navy, IT supervisor with Midwest Mutual Insurance in Des Moines.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Dorothy Jean Pemberton and great grandson, Austin.

Survivors include his wife of 73 years, Beulah Pemberton; daughter, Rowena Schweizer and husband Larry; grandchildren, Tracy Fuller, Darcy McFarlane and husband, Terry, Todd Schweizer and wife, Beth, Ben Schweizer and wife, Becky and seven great grandchildren.
