Brian K. Runnels

Brian K. Runnels, 39, of Lawson, formerly of Gower, MO, passed away, Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at his home.

He was born on January 28, 1968 to Larry Gene and Peggy Ann (Reed) Runnels in St. Joseph, MO. He grew up in Gower and graduated from East Buchanan High School. He then served his country in the U.S. Army. After his honorable discharge, he lived in St. Joseph, Hemple, and Kansas City.

On August 31, 2002 he was united in marriage to Helen Carr. After their marriage they lived in Lawson where they made their home.

Brian owned and operated his own truck and worked for B&B Transfer in Lenexa, KS.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry.

Brian is survived by his wife, Helen; sons, Dakotah and Brian, Jr.; step-children, Trevor, Amber, Austin, and Aaron, all of the home; his mother, Peggy Runnels, Gower, MO; brothers, David Runnels and Larry Brent Runnels, both of St. Joseph, MO; grandmother, Georgia Lee Reed, Gower, MO; mother and father-in-law, Paul and Sue Butterworth, Osceola, MO; and father-in-law, Doug Carr, St. Joseph, MO; several aunts uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Visitation: 1:00-2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 10^th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower, MO.

Private Family Inurnment will be held at a later date at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Gower.
