Bonnie Louise (Brooks) Evans
Bonnie L. Evans, 77, of Smithville, MO passed away, Friday, November 20, 2014 at her home.
She was born on October 6, 1937 to Russell Z. and Lois Ruth (Dingman) Brooks in Sturgeon, MO. Bonnie grew up in Mexico, MO and in 1955 graduated from Mexico High School.
In July 1955 she was united in marriage to Melvin Neal Evans. After their marriage they lived in Independence, MO and in 1972 they moved to Smithville where they made their home. Her husband passed away April 26, 2014.
Bonnie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Smithville. She retired from Citizens Bank and Trust in Smithville.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, daughter Linda Sparks, grandson Russell Neal Harlow.
Bonnie is survived by her daughter Debora Harlow and husband Larry; grandchildren, Kendra (Harlow) Soileau and husband Todd, Matthew Jennings and Lauren (Sparks) Galvin and husband Tim; great-granddaughters, Kaylynn and Kenzie Soileau and Alaina Galvin; sister Doris Ruth Griffin; niece Theresa Heim and husband Luke; great-nieces and great-nephew Natalie, Lexie, and Chase Heim; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 24th at the First Baptist Church in Smithville with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Burial: Ridgely Cemetery
