Bob Foley

Bob Foley, 91, of Smithville, MO, formerly of Springfield, MO passed away, August 1, 2024.

He was born on October 25, 1932 to William Raymond and Sarah Ella (Buckner) Foley in Strafford, MO. Bob grew up in Strafford and graduated from Fairgrove High School where he was valedictorian. He then served his country in the U.S. Navy and was trained as a radiologic technologist.

On May 3, 1957 he was united in marriage to Betty Jo Harris. After their marriage they lived in Springfield, MO where they made their home. In 2017 they moved to Smithville.

He was a member of the Northside Assembly of God Church in Springfield where he served for over 30 years as a Deacon. Bob was currently a member of Grace Community Church in Smithville. He loved God, his family, his church and everyone that he encountered.

Bob leaves a legacy of integrity.

Bob worked at Cox Medical Center for 42 years where he was the assistant administrator.

He was preceded in death by his parents, six sisters and one brother.

Bob is survived by his wife, Betty; children, Janice (Monte) White and Curtis (Sherry) Foley; grandchildren, Joshua White, Sarah (Steven) Walcher, Jacob White, Sara (Chris) Webb and Seth (Erin) Foley, and Aleece (Tyler) Reed; great-grandchildren, Aaliyah White, Eli White, Gabriel White, Carter Reed, and Lucy Reed; brother-in-law, James (Cynthia) Harris; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Private Family Services will be held.
