BILLIE E. AMOS

Billie Elizabeth Amos, 78, of Camden Point, MO, passed away, July 27, 2006 at the Gower Convalescent Center.

She was born on November 15, 1927 to Robert Lee and Elizabeth Josephine (Blackstone) Deatherage in Faulkner, Kansas. The family moved northwest of Weston when Billie was three and she attended country school until 1937 when they moved to Weston. In 1945 she graduated from Weston High School.

On February 16, 1953 she was united in marriage to Dothard “Doc” Franklin Amos. After their marriage they lived in Camden Point where they made their home. Her husband, Doc, passed away August 26, 1987.

Billie was employed at Mid-Continent Library in Camden Point for over 17 years, retiring ion January 18, 1992.

She was a member of the Camden Point Baptist Church where she served as a secretary for the Sunday School for several years.

Billie loved the children and older people.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Charley Deatherage.

Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Saturday July 29th at the Camden Point Baptist Church, with visitation one hour prior to service.
Burial: Camden Point Cemetery.
