Bill Wait

William Edgar “Bill”  Wait, Jr., 84, of Kingston, MO passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017.  
 
He was born on August 1, 1932 to William Edgar and Leota (Norval) Wait in Kansas City, MO.  Bill attended Stark Elementary in Kansas City, MO.  After the 4th grade he moved with his family to St. Clair County, MO.  He continued to live with his grandparents Andy and Josie Norval so he could finish his schooling at Riverview School in St.
Clair County, MO.   
 
On February 28, 1958, he was united in marriage to Mary Lou Pinkerton.  After their marriage, they lived in Pleasant Valley, Excelsior Springs, Rackett and in 2005 they moved to Kingston, MO.  Mary Lou passed away on June 26, 2016.
 
Bill worked for MFA in Smithville driving a grain truck and later was a welder for Standard Steal/Trail Mobile in North Kansas City, MO.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved being with his family and friends.  
 
He was also preceded in death by his parents; son Clarence Arnold Wait; and brother Chuck Wait. 
Bill is survived by his sons Tom Wait and wife Pat and Terry Wait; grandchildren Heidi, Tommy, Nathan, Marcus, Elizabeth, Mary Ann, Josh, Cheyenne, and Cody; 16
great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sisters Joanne Pope and Pat Silvey and husband Larry; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
 
Memorial Service:  11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 29th with
visitation from 10:30-11:30 a.m. prior to the service at Hixson-Klein Funeral
Home, Smithville.
Inurnment: Community of Smithville Memorial Cemetery
