BILL LYONS

Bill Allen Lyons, 77, of Gower, MO, passed away, Sunday, March 19, 2006 at his home.

He was born on July 14, 1928 to Goldie Allen and Bonnie Belle (Hines) Lyons near Gower, where he attended Number Six School.

On June 3, 1949 he was united in marriage to Peg Norris. After their marriage they lived near Gower where they farmed and made their home. Bill also worked for Swift and Company in St. Joseph for 21 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Marie Hawkins, and daughter-in-law, Sherry Lyons.

Bill is survived by his wife, Peg, of the home, children, Bonnie Boatwright and husband, Jack, Gower, MO, Eugene and Linda Lyons, Gower, MO, Leroy Lyons, Stewartsville, MO, Donnie Lyons and wife, Jody, Gower, MO, nine grandchildren, Lisa, Jackie, Kim, Matt, Jenny, Billy, Laura, Wendy, and Jennifer, and fourteen great-grandchildren, Donnie, Aaron, Nicholas, Hannah, Allison, Colton, Samantha, Alyssa, Lydia, Jacob, Haley, Katie, Kelsey and Dillon, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 21st at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower.
Burial: Allen Cemetery, Gower.
Visitation: 6:30-8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
