Beulah Pack Pemberton
Beulah Pack Pemberton, 92, died at Ramsey Village February 3, 2009.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 7th, with visitation
one hour prior at Indianola Heights Christian Church in Des Moines with
burial following at 4 p.m. at the IOOF Cemetery in Smithville, MO.
Beulah married Buford Pemberton in Gallatin, MO on September 16, 1933.
They were married 73 years before Buford passed away in 2006. Beulah was a
member of Indianola Heights Christian Church, and Ladies Auxiliary of the
Fleet Reserve Assoc.
Beulah's hobbies were sewing, quilting, art work, and crafts. They
lived in the Smithville, MO area, North Kansas City, MO, Olathe, KS,
Arlington, TX, and Beulah traveled extensively along the east Coast keeping
up with where Buford's ships were docking. They then moved to Stockton, CA
where Buford retired from the navy, and moved to Des Moines in 1966.
She was preceded in death by her husband Buford, daughter Dorothy Jean,
and great-grandson Austin Fuller.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Rowena and Larry Schweizer,
grandchildren Tracy Fuller, Darcy (Terry) McFarlane, Todd (Beth) Schweizer,
Ben (Becky) Schweizer, and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Indianola Heights Christian
Church.
Beulah's family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Ramsey
Village Staff for the special love and care given to Beulah.
