Beulah Lee (Harris) Brown

Beulah Lee (Harris) Brown, 95, of Maysville, MO, formerly of Trimble, and Gower, MO., passed away, Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Sunset Home in Maysville, MO.

She was born on April 10, 1914 to Jesse Jacob and Bertha Elizabeth (Lee) Harris in Clay County near Smithville where she grew up and later graduated from Smithville High School.

On March 8, 1941 she was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Brown in Yuma, Arizona. After their marriage they lived in San Diego, CA, Trimble and Gower, MO and in 1999 they moved to Maysville where they made their home. Her husband Bob, passed away on June 12, 2006.

Beulah worked in the Dietary Department at Spelman Hospital in Smithville retiring in 1976.

She was a longtime member of the Trimble Baptist Church.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother; H. A. “Shorty” Harris, granddaughter; Rebecca Brown, grandson: Michael Brown and daughter-in-law; Pam Brown.

She is survived by her son; Robert Brown and wife Rose, Aurora, MO, daughter; Martha Younger and husband Steve, Maysville, MO, granddaughters; Deana and Glen Hugunin and Stacy Hays and Tim Matthews, great-grandchildren; Johnathan Brown, Joshua Brown, Jared Brown, Amy Davis, Molly Hinds, Beau Hugunin and Timothy Matthews, great-great-granddaughter; Kaci Brown, brother: Howard Harris, Edgerton, MO, sisters: Mildred Barnhill, Gower, MO, Eva Scott and Faye Harris both of Smithville, MO, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 10th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville, MO

VISITATION: 6:30-8:30 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home in Smithville.

BURIAL: Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Trimble, MO

Donations: Pleasant Hill Cemetery or Trimble Baptist Church.
