Betty Ruth Davis Keith
Betty Ruth Davis Keith, 90 of Smithville, MO formerly of Kansas City, KS, passed away Friday June 7, 2013 at her home in Smithville.
She was born on July 11, 1922 To Lewis C and Rosa (Asher) Gilbert in Topeka, KS where she grew up and attended school.
On December 29, 1945 Betty was united in marriage to Robert Earl Davis. After their marriage they lived in Kanas City, KS where they made their home. Her husband Robert passed away on February 25, 1969 and Betty later moved to Smithville.
Betty loved being a homemaker and raising her two daughters. She enjoyed going to the casino and telling it like it is to anyone and everyone.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, and brothers and sisters, Clarence Feyh, Rosa Bayless, Helen McClellan, Paul Feyh and Ralph Gilbert and great-grandson, Ryan Thomas Holmes.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Roberta Lowman and Betty Lou “Carla” Barnes and husband Stanley all of Smithville; grandchildren Robert Steele, Ruth Jones and husband Jeff, Roberta Taylor and husband Tyrus, and Ginny Russell; great-grandchildren, Emily, Abigal, and Eric Holmes, Tyrus Taylor, Jr. and Kelsey Russell; step-great grandchildren, Kash and Quaid Jones; several nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends.
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tue June 11th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville
Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m. Wed. June 12th at Maple Hill Cemetery, Kansas City, KS
