Betty Lou Buckler

Betty Lou Buckler, 78, of Dearborn, MO passed away Monday, March 28, 2016.

She was born on September 3, 1937 to Spence and Charity (McClain) McMillian in Camden Point, MO where she grew up and attended school in Dearborn.

On February 21, 1978 she was united in marriage to Truman Buckler.  After their marriage they lived in Dearborn where they farmed and made their home.  After their retirement they moved to Climax Springs, Lake of the Ozarks for a few years and then returned to Dearborn.

Betty also worked for the Platte County Clerk’s Office and the Platte County RIII School District.  She was a member of the Dearborn Baptist Church.  Betty loved fishing, cooking, and crocheting. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother George McMillian; and two step-sons Steve Buckler and Ray Buckler.

Betty is survived by her husband Truman Buckler; daughter Teri Peck and husband Todd; son Bill Huntsman, Jr.; step-daughter Debbie Shanks and husband Larry and step-son Lonnie Buckler and wife Misti; grandchildren including Nathan York, Amanda Kain, Shohna Peck, Addie Buckler, Emilee Buckler, and Gloria Shanks; two great-grandchildren Berlynn York and Andy Kain; other relatives and many friends.

Graveside Service:  11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 30th at Dearborn Cemetery.
