BETTY J. WATSON

Betty Jeane Watson, 78, of St. Joseph, Mo., passed away Saturday, August 27, 2005 at her home.

She was born on April 22, 1927 to Gilbert and Maxine Abernathy in Flagg Springs, Mo., where she grew up and attended school.

On June 28, 1957 she was united in marriage to Bill Watson. After their marriage they lived in St. Joseph, were they made their home.

Betty was a member of the former Evangelical United Brethern Church in St. Joseph and attended the Bethany Christian Church in Stewartsville, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Linda Duke and one brother, George R. Abernathy.

Betty is survived by her husband, Bill, daughter Robin L. Green and husband, Richard, all of the home, six grandchildren, John Charles Duke, Brett M. Duke, Chrystal L. Prather, Amanda J. Greene, Sean M. Greene, and Destinee Green, one great-grandson, Devin D. Prather, one sister, Mary Ann Heastan, St. Joseph, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services: 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 30th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower
Burial: Mt. Zion Cemetery, Gower.
Visitation: 6:30-8:00 P.M. Monday at the Funeral Home.
