Betty I. (Hayne) Boydston

 

Betty I. (Hayne) Boydston, 79, of St. Joseph, formerly of Faucett, MO, passed away, Sunday, October 7, 2007 at a local long term care facility.

Betty was born on May 24, 1928 to Wilbur and Beulah (Whited) Hayne in New Raymer, Colorado. She grew up and attended school in St. Edward, Nebraska.

Betty married Joe Boydston in 1974. She had three daughters and one son from previous marriages. Together there are seven children.

Betty was a founding member of the Faucett Lioness Club, and was also a member of the Faucett and Gower Lions Club. She was an active member of the Platte County Steam and Gas Engine Association.

Betty is survived by her husband, Joe, of the home; children, Kathy Williams, Wichita, KS, Jeanne and Ralph Edwards, St. Joseph, Virginia and Harry Stanley, Minneapolis, KS, Jeff and Mary McKnight, Faucett, MO, Charles and Mickey Boydston, Elwood, KS, Tony and Tammy Boydston, St. Joseph, Donald and Tina Boydston, Atchison, KS; twenty-three grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bill Hayne, Wichita, KS, and Harold Denman, Genoa, NE; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services: 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Edgerton, MO.

Burial: Camden Point Cemetery.

Visitation: 6:30-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
