Betty Davis
Betty Davis, 86, of Smithville, MO passed away, December 8, 2023.
She was born on October 13, 1938 to Tom and Ruth Vyrostek. Betty grew up in Gallatin and graduated from Gallatin High School.
In August 1962 she was united in marriage to Harry N. Davis. After their marriage they lived in Kansas City, and in 1967 moved to Smithville where they made their home. Her husband, Harry, preceded her in death on February 13, 2007.
Betty was an active member of the Smithville United Methodist Church for many years. She loved her cats and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Donnie Vyrostek.
Betty is survived by her son, Nathan (Sandra) Davis; two grandchildren, Brock and Baylee; siblings, Peggy Mulford, Larry Vyrostek and Brenda Zimmerlee; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 13th at Smithville United Methodist Church with visitation one hour prior.
Graveside Service: 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday December 13th at Greenwood Cemetery, Gallatin, MO.

My deep condolences to Nathan and his family for the loss of his mother. Betty was a sweet and beautiful person who loved her husband and son very much. She had a strong faith in the Lord and was very faithful to Him and the church. I pray for God’s blessings and comfort for her family. She will be missed but I and her friends and family look forward to meeting with her again.
