Betty (Boyd) Maley

Betty Maley, 83 of Edgerton, MO passed away January 4, 2015 in Vienna, MO.

 

She was born on August 17, 1931 to James and Lula (Hayes) Boyd in Paul?s Valley, OK where she grew up and attended school.

 

On June 14, 1949 she was united in marriage to Joseph Wayne Maley.  After their marriage they lived in Gladstone, MO and in 1953 they moved to rural Edgerton, MO where they farmed and made their home.  Her husband Joe passed away on January 24, 2001. 

 

Betty lived in Edgerton for 50 years and was well respected by the community.  She was a member of Nashua Church of Christ in Nashua, MO. 

 

Betty was also preceded in death by her parents and nine brothers and sisters.

 

She is survived by her children Robert Maley and wife Terri, Otterville, MO, Randy Maley and wife Brenda, Jefferson City, MO and Jenny Richter, Harrisonville, MO; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. 

 

Funeral Services:  2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 8^th with visitation from 12:30-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at Hixson-Klein Funeral, Edgerton.

Burial: Ridgely Cemetery
