Basil Duke Turner, Jr.
Basil Duke Turner, Jr., 89, of Denver, Co. formerly of Weston, Mo., died, Saturday, May 26, 2007 at Swedish Hospital in Denver.
Basil was born on December 14, 1917 to Basil Duke, Sr. and Alma (Carrico) Turner in Weston where he grew up and in 1935 graduated from Weston High School.
He worked as an auto mechanic and clerk for the CCC and later the Army Air Force.
He met his love, Julia Hudson , at the Rainbow Ballroom in Denver and they were married for 63 years before she passed away.
Basil was a member of the Harvey Park Christian Church and the American Legion.
He is survived by many nieces and nephews and beloved friends.
GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 10:30 A.M., Saturday, June 2nd at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Weston, MO.
