Barry Forsyth
Barry Alan Forsyth,64 of Smithville Mo passed away October 2, 2025, after a long battle with cancer.
He was born July 17th, 1961, to Bill and Carolyn Forsyth in Smithville Mo. Barry graduated from Smithville High School in 1980.
For many years Barry worked as a boat salesman at the family business, B&B Marine, in Smithville MO. Later he joined the Spring Venture Group in Kansas City, Mo to sell insurance.
Barry was an avid chief’s fan who enjoyed cooking ,barbecuing, and listening to rock music. But most of all he enjoyed story telling about his life to his family and grandchildren.
Barry is proceeded in death by his father, Bill Forsyth, and brother Billy Forsyth.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his children Tiffany Forsyth- Hogan, Helen Forsyth, Harrison Forsyth; mother Carolyn Forsyth; Sister Tracy Thomas; and grand-children Chloe Hogan and Nathan Hogan.
Family Graveside/Celebration of Life will be held on October 19th starting at 1:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Luke’s hospice house.

Rest in eternal peace, Barry. My prayers and thoughts go out to Barry’s family. I probably bicycled by Barry’s parents home—their house was halfway between my parents house and Smithville—at least 1000 times. A great, great family.

.condolences to the Forsyth family . I was a classmate of Barry’s all through school. Barry was a good man and a good friend. Many fun memories I had with Barry.
The Forsyth family always treated me and everyone Barry knew with kindness. Carolyn is a gym in ger own right. God bless
