Barbara Smith

Barbara Lee Smith, 87, of Kansas City, MO passed away, Thursday, February 22, 2018.
 
She was born on October 29, 1930 the only child of Jesse and Venita (Garner) Clark in St. George, MO.  She grew up in St. George and graduated from Hartville High School.  She proclaimed her faith in God at a young age.
 
On August 31, 1963 she was united in marriage to Melvin Smith.  After their marriage they lived in Gladstone, MO where they made their home.  Her husband, Melvin, passed away, January 8, 2015.
 
She was also preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law, Larry Glossip.
 
Barbara is survived by her children, Ann Willis, Pam Brown, and Rick Florence and wife Tammy; grandchildren, Walt Willis, Amy Weber and husband Rodney, Jason Brown, Jesse Brown and wife Betsy, Shane Florence and wife Kassidi, and Sam Florence and wife Alyssa; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Emma, Ellie, Chase, Karlie, Mckinley, Eisley, River; numerous cousins and many friends. 
 
Funeral Service:  1:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 28th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville with visitation from 12:00-1:30 p.m. prior to the service.
Burial:  White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Gladstone.
Donations may be made to Paradise Baptist Church.
