BARBARA A. BYASSEE

Barbara Agnes Byassee, 84, of Lee’s Summit, MO, passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2006.

She was born on April 2, 1922 to Dennis David and E. Pearl Beatte in Crystal City, MO. Barbara attended school and grew up in Festus, MO.

On June 18, 1942 she was united in marriage to Wilmer Carlin Byassee. After their marriage they lived in many states and countries during Wilmer‘s Air Force career. After retirement they lived on a farm in LaMonte, MO and later lived in Belle Vista, Arkansas. On February 24, 1984 her husband passed away and in 1996, Barbara moved to Lee’s Summit.

She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Barbara is survived by two sons, David Byassee, Denver, CO, Jerry Byassee and wife, Shirley, Colorado Springs, CO, one “darling daughter”, Jeanne Makings and husband, Phil, Smithville, MO, six grandchildren, Jason and Tyler Byassee, Jaime Harrell and husband Lee, and Julie Robbins, Kim Makings and Christy (Makings) Borrowman and husband David “Tiger“, five great-grandchildren, Tyler Byassee, Alyssa Robbins, Riley, Jordan, and Will Harrell, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services: 12:00 Saturday, May 27th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville, MO, with visitation following.
Inurnment will be held at a later date.

Donations may be made to Smithville Christian Church Women’s Service or Youth Group.
