B. BERNICE MUSSER

B. Bernice Musser, 85, of Gower, MO, passed away, Thursday, September 7, 2006 at the Gower Convalescent Center.

She was born on August 22, 1921 to Robert Elmer and Effie (Roberts) Reynolds near Gower, where she grew up and attended school.

On January 11, 1947 she was united in marriage to Leonard Kay Musser, Sr. After their marriage they lived and farmed in the Gower and Plattsburg communities until his death in 1984.

Bernice had worked for Helen’s Laundromat in Gower. She was also a very accomplished seamstress and did sewing for many people in the community.

She was a member of the Gower Christian Church, the Jolly Workers Club, the 39ers Club of Gower, and was recently inducted into the Red Hat Society at the Gower Convalescent Center.

Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Kay, her parents, and one sister, Viola Reeves.

She is survived by one son, Leonard Musser, Jr, Gower, MO; two daughters Peggy Jensen and husband, Jeff, St. Joseph, MO, and Wanda Herpel and husband, Ivan, Gower, MO; four grandchildren, Lori Lemon, Rusty Herpel and wife, Beth, all of St. Joseph, MO, Rachael Liday and husband, Mike, Gower, MO, and Rob Herpel and wife, Rachael, Lincoln, NE; her beloved great-grandchildren, Jordan and Alex Lemon, Erin and Allyson Liday, and Nathaniel Herpel; three sisters, Ruby Allen, Tucson, AZ, Margaret Hyatt, Independence, MO, and Melba Sellars, Polo, MO; and three brothers, Melvin and Jewell Reynolds, both of Gower, and Harold Reynolds, Deepwater, MO; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower.
Burial: Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Joseph.
Visitation: 6:30-8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Donations may be made to the Gower Christian Church Building Fund or the Gower Goodtimers.
