Arvin C. Kelley
Arvin Kelley, 85, of Camden Point, MO, passed away, Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at his home.
He was born on August 13, 1927 to Ermon Wesley and Neva Flora (Ruble) Kelley in Weston, MO. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. While stationed at Tinker Field near Oklahoma City he met his wife, Billie Rosson. On July 3, 1948 they were united in marriage. After his honorable discharge they returned to Platte County where they made their home in Camden Point for the last 50 years.
Arvin was a truck driver for TWA for over 30 years, retiring in 1988.
He was a 50 year member of the Camden Point Masonic Lodge AF&AM #169. Arvin was a founder of the Camden Point Volunteer Fire Dept. He enjoyed auctions, mushroom hunting, fish frys, and most of all dancing with his wife, Billie.
Arvin was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Alfred and Donald Kelley.
He is survived by his wife, Billie, of the home; children, Gary Kelley and wife May, Caryn Bair and Melissa Westwood and husband Jason; grandchildren, Eliot Kelley, Wendy Wehmeyer and husband Willie, Kelsey Bair, Wiatt, Emily and Jacob Westwood; great-grandchildren, Courtney and Shawn Kelley, Jadon Kelley, Zaniel Maldonado, and Dustin and Morgan Wehmeyer; brother, Alvin Kelley, five sisters, Mary Sue Munsterman, Erma Dean Brown, Maxine Palmer, Jean Hull and Janet Higgins and husband Jim; brothers-in-law, Curtis Rosson and wife Janet and Duane Rosson and wife Linda; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 26th at Camden Point Cemetery
Masonic Service: 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Edgerton with visitation following until 8:30 p.m.
