Arthur Lee Butler
Arthur L. Butler, 75 of Liberty, MO passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2012.
He was born on August 30, 1937 to Sumner Fredrick and Vivian Arline (Neese) Butler near Atchison, Kansas. Art grew up and attended school in Farmington. He then served his country in U.S. Army.
On March 1, 1959 he was united in marriage to Alice Livingston. After their marriage they lived in Kansas City where they raised their son. His wife, Alice, passed away in 1996. On November 4, 2001 Art married Marcia Reasoner. They made their home in Liberty.
He retired from Haldex Brake, Inc in Kansas City.
Art was a member of the Family Worship Center in Smithville. He was a founder and leader of the Gavel Club.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, David, Pardee and Howard.
He is survived by his wife, Marcia, of the home; son, Tom Butler and wife Betty, Kansas City, MO; step-children, Philip Reasoner and wife Jill, Washington, Brian Reasoner and wife Michelle, Texas and Laura Ledoux and husband Karl, Washington; grandchildren, Maranda, Lydia, Alexander, Sophia, Peter, Sierra, Jackson, Wyatt, Diana and Myron Jr; great-grandsons, Dylan, Dakota, and Myron; sisters, Sharon Springstead and husband, Keith, Dorothy and husband Tom; brother, Carly Butler and wife Sharon; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 6th at Family Worship Center, Smithville with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Burial: 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Pardee Cemetery, Cummings, KS
Donations may be made to the church.
