Arlette Lee (Wilhoit) Tennant

Arlette Lee Tennant, 76, of Smithville, MO passed away Friday, February 10, 2012.

She was born on January 29, 1936 to Walter P and Etta Marie (King) Wilhoit in Paradise, MO. Arlette grew up in the Smithville area and graduated from Smithville High School.

Arlette was a waitress for several restaurants in the Kansas City area. She was a wonderful sister and mother and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Arlette loved fishing, camping and crocheting.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Donald Mathis and Donald Tennant; sons, Darrell Mathis and Donnie Mathis; brother, Darrell Wilhoit; and sisters Waltin L Lynn and Joyce Wilhoit.

Arlette is survived by her children, Rosemarie Shirley and companion Trace Hill, Joetta Lamont, Delbert Mathis and wife Irene, Sue Withrow and companion Ron Edwards, and Mike Mathis and companion Jessica; grandchildren, Chris, Joshua, Darrell, Deardra, Maddilyn and Andy; five great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia Kay Rising and husband Robert; brother, Walther Wilhoit and wife Carmen; several nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends.

Memorial Service: 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 15^th at Community of Christ, Smithville, MO with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Inurnment: Paradise Cemetery

Donation may be left in her memory in care of the funeral home.
