Anna Gardner

Anna May Gardner, 86, of Plattsburg, MO passed away February 29, 2024.

She was born on August 5, 1937. She grew up in St. Louis and Smithville and graduated from Smithville High School.

On October 2, 1957 she was united in marriage to Charles D. Gardner. After their marriage they lived in Plattsburg where they made their home. Her husband, C.D., preceded her in death on October 20, 2018.

Anna loved crafts, sewing, gardening, woodworking, and cooking.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law Andre Marceau; and granddaughter-in-law, Beckie DeFreece.

Anna is survived by her children Debbie (Terry) DeFreece, Chuck Gardner and Lynda Marceau; grandchildren Cristina (Chad) Vincent, Derick DeFreece, Nicholas (Jenny) DeFreece, Magan Araiza, Ashley Gardner, Devin Gardner, Amanda (Ariel) Lallana, and Skylar Marceau; fourteen great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Helen (Sonny) Perman, Doris Kauffman and Rose (John) Utter; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. 

Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 5th with visitation from 12:30-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower. Burial: Greenlawn Cemetery, Plattsburg, MO.

Donations may be made to the Gathering Place. (Plattsburg Senior Center)

    I am sorry to hear of AnnaMae’s passing. I have many good memories of her and CD visiting Cordelia every year. Your mom always had a new craft that she was working on.
