I worked with Angie for last 7 years at NKCH. She was an absolute peach. Such an amazing and caring nurse and loved by all. I will miss her kind and glowing persona every time I’m on the 8th floor. Angie you were a gift to all of us who knew you.

Angie was a sweet, kind and fun person. She and I would have so much fun shopping on our MHEDA trips. We always seem to find some bargains. Even though we did not live close, it was always a treat when we got together and pick right up where we left off on our last trip. Rest in Peace sweet Angie. Pete, you and your family are in our prayers.

I only knew Angie for a few years while working with her at NKCH but I found out quickly what a kind and caring person she was and was the best baker ever and couldn’t wait to see her beautiful decorations in her home every season. My thoughts are prayers are with all of you.

Angie was just a remarkably, kind friend. She was fun to be with on our KC outings hunting for gifts for her family.

I have known Angie as long as Pete has been at Riekes. I’ve watched her children grow up and be successful because of the love of both of parents. Angie fulfilled her ambition to be a nurse after raising her children…a great example of a mature student fulfilling her dreams.

My deepest and heartfelt sympathy goes to the family. Take care and God bless.

  • Jake Nelson

Love reading the tributes and how they match the families view of her as a lovely lady inside and out! Our family was blessed with her when she married Pete. We are sad to hear of this untimely passing. She will always be in our hearts and remembered for her sweet interactions with others and her commitment to family. Our hearts grieve for you, Pete, Brandon, Brianna, Dan, and Zachary. Sandy-Bill-Heidi-Tamara-Amy and all! Your family is so close and this strand is now broken. I know there were many moments still waiting to be shared! May God be with all of you in the days ahead as you navigate them without her and may her presence and God’s show up when you need them most….through the love of each other, friends, family, and in miraculous ways that allow you to know God’s care and presence! Love you cousins!!!

  • Susanne Stockman

I worked with Angie for 10 years at North Kansas City Hospital. She was so kind and gentle to everyone she came into contact with, whether co-worker or patient. Sharing a 12 hour shift allows a person to get to know others so well. She was the “cupcake master” of so many delicious flavors. I wish now I had eaten more of them.

We shared all our dog stories as I had five. She adored Remmy and shared all the puppy antics. We’d laugh and affirm that dogs bring so much joy into our lives. Angie brought joy with cupcakes and her gentle spirit.

    With love and warm memories,
    Susanne Stockman
