Andy Mathews
Andy Mathews, Plattsburg, MO, passed away, unexpectedly and entirely too young on July 3, 2014 at the age of 39. He was a devoted husband, loving father, beloved son and brother. He left a lasting legacy of service to his community. There was nothing that he would not do for anyone.
Andy was a 1993 graduate of Oak Park High School. Upon graduation he traveled to New Zealand as an AFS Student. He was a 1998 graduate of Central Missouri State University, obtaining a degree in Animal Science. Andy grew a highly successful construction company, Mathews Construction, through which he built miles and miles of fencing and corals for farmers in the Northwest Missouri area.
Andy was active, with his children and wife in: The Gower Dynamites 4-H Club; The Gower Lions Club; and The Clinton County Extension Council.
Andy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lois and Dale Williams and Josephine and O.K. Mathews.
He is survived by his loving wife Deanna whom he married on February 20, 1999; their precious children, Jonathan, age 20, Ella, age 10, and Will, age 8. He is also survived by his parents, Melanie and Bruce Mathews; brother, Mike Mathews; and his mother-in-law and father-in law, Deborah and Robert Beecroft.
Memorial Service: 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 9th at the Gower Christian Church AFC Building, Gower, MO.
Visitation: 11:00-1:00 following the service on Wednesday.
There will be a Memorial Service at Elmwood Cemetery in Kansas City at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to either of Andy’s two favorite charities: The Clinton County 4-H Scholarship Fund, PO Box 294, Plattsburg, MO 64477. As a former AFS Student, and active in 4-H Andy was a strong advocate for providing foreign exchange opportunities to
4-H youth. Donations may also be made to The Elmwood Cemetery Society, 4900 E. Truman Rd Kansas City MO 64127. Andy took pride in mowing and helping to maintain the grounds of this historic site.
