Andrea Sue (Tester) Smith
Andrea Sue Smith, 60, of Plattsburg, MO, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2011.
She was born October 2, 1950 to Andrew Franklin and Eunice Maxine (Blankenship) Tester in Smithville, Missouri. She graduated from Plattsburg High School. Andrea Sue then attended Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education.
Andrea Sue lived most of her life in the Holt and Plattsburg area, where she raised her children.
Andrea Sue was baptized at Smithville Baptist Church. Andrea Sue was later an active member of Holt United Methodist Church.
She worked for Aetna Insurance in Tiffany Springs for over 13 years.
Andrea Sue was preceded in death by her father.
She is survived by her children, Connie Decker and husband, Jeremy; Brian Smith and wife, Misty, all of St. Joseph, MO; grandchildren, Zachary Decker, Austin Smith, and Isabayla Smith; her mother, Maxine Tester, Plattsburg, MO; brother, Bennie Tester and wife, Deborah, Holt, MO; former husband, William Claude Smith; other relatives and many friends.
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday June 13th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 14th at the funeral home.
Burial: Ridgely Cemetery
Donations may be made in her memory in care of the funeral home.

Andrea was a high school classmate and friend of mine. She was one of the sweetest and most compassionate people I have had the pleasure to meet. The thing I will cherish most is the warmth of her beautiful smile. May the Lord give you strength and comfort in the many memories you have shared with her throughout your years with her. And may you find peace and hope in the knowledge of the many people who are lifting you up in prayer right now. She made a difference!

Andrea and I went to Plattsburgh High School together, Class of 1968. I was sorry to hear of her passing. She will be missed at our next reunion. My sincere sympathy and prayers to all her family and friends.
