Amy Marie West
Amy Marie West, 32, of Turney, MO formerly of Platte City, MO passed away Friday, August 5, 2011.
She was born on February 7, 1979 in Kansas City, MO. Amy was raised by her parents Carolyn Sue and Keith “Stan” McNeal in Platte City and graduated from Platte County R-3 High School in 1997.
Amy was a published author, publishing the book Finding Retribution in 2010. She was a participating member of the S.C.A. and enjoyed attending church services especially at The Vineyard Church in Kansas City.
She was preceded in death by her father and grandfather, Henry Pope.
Amy is survived by her mother, Carolyn Sue McNeal; grandparents, Marilyn and Ray Helmich, all of Turney, MO; several aunts, uncles and cousins, including Destiny Pope and Sheila Goddard; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 9th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Burial: Paradise Cemetery, Smithville, MO
